fly high!!

Hey friends hope you remember about my last article on menstruation and its awareness!!!
Well today I’m gonna talk about something related to it, today i’ll be talking about menstrual hygiene and lack of awareness. People like you and me most of us don’t know how our menstrual hygiene is important, lack of attention could lead you to infertility, vaginal infections or it may leads to death also …
When we call something is private it is surely be hidden and taken care of especially. So as our private body parts.
I guess most of you might be well aware of sanitary napkins (pads), have seen in many advertisements .right? Surely.
But have you ever heard of the thing like tampons, menstrual cups, thinx, reusable washable pads? I guess not at least all of them.
So yes other than sanitary napkins there is more menstrual stuff available in the market for not only women hygiene but also the empowerment.
How many of you do think that being a female you should avoid swimming or cycling or may be racing and any another exercising stuff? Do these stain fear stop you somewhere in the ground? Doesn’t let you fly high or to dive deep into sea. Well not any more there are things for you tampons and menstrual cups are the two sensational products that have changed women’s life to a great extent well you don’t wear then more like pads but these things are meant to insert.
Starting with tampons; a tampon is a mass of absorbent material, primarily used as a feminine hygiene product. At present, tampons are designed to be easily inserted in .to the vagina during menstruation and absorb the menstrual flow.

A menstrual cup is a feminine hygiene product that is inserted into the vagina during menstruation. Its purpose is to prevent menstrual fluid (blood containing uterine lining) from leaking onto clothes. Menstrual cups are usually made of flexible medical grade silicone and shaped like a bell with a stem. The stem is used for insertion and removal. The bell-shaped cup seals against the vaginal wall just below the cervix. Every 4–12 hours (depending on the amount of flow), the cup is removed, emptied, rinsed, and reinserted.

In short tampons in some highly absorbable cottony tube that is inserted into the vaginal area and this absorbs blood while cups are made of some soft fiber that is inserted in the vaginal part to collect blood this could be washed and reinserted after 12 to 24 hrs .so now no need to worry about blood stains.
Now moving on to thinx I m dam sure you haven’t heard of it .well these are menstrual panties where the crotch is 4 layers thick and absorbs light to medium amounts of menstrual flow. Girls/young women can wear this type of underwear with or without a tampon. They are washable and reusable and environmentally friendly. So now no need to wearing pads too … well they are quite expensive yet they are way more comfortable than anything else.
Not just this we have more of reusable, washable pads and wide range of tampons and menstrual cups but these entire have some or other limitations along. But in future there would be something more compatible for sure.
Well friends today I won’t ask any questions? But just wait stop and think are you really taking care of your menstrual hygiene and all those women around you see I know that’s quite tough to accept new things but why not? Let’s fly high without looking back …
Try to know more about hygiene products…
Be safe, live life healthy, stay aware …

Being woman and taboos

I was 10 when I got introduced to this term “periods” with a big shhhh…..
My pain, irritations, discomfort, all those mood swings and my sickness was a secret among me and other women in the house.
I can’t discuss anything about it openly shhhh….shhhh…
I always thought when the use of baby diapers and sanitary napkins are so alike then, why they are supplied like drugs .That feels so embarrassing to ask for a pad from a male shopkeeper and all those layers of newspaper wrapping and then into a black polythene passed beneath the table .not just that after all that you need to find another safe place to hide your secret.
In fact how many of you know about all those myths and all thy shitty rule women have to follow during these days?
Let me tell you there is a whole damm list of protocols different for the women in different community .like if you are a “Jain” you could relate to it  most. Have you ever noticed that on some particular days your mom doesn’t serve you food? That she is not sleeping on bed and wearing rags (clothes she probably won’t wear during normal days)? Have you seen here eating alone? And have you ever observed her walking out in the dark? Well if not then I guess you need to open up your eyes.
Let’s start from the basics what is menstruation? Menstruation, also known as a period or monthly, is the regular discharge of blood and mucosal tissue (known as menses) from the inner lining of the uterus through the vagina. The first period usually begins between twelve and fifteen years of age, a point in time known as menarche. In simpler words after a particular age female ovaries starts releasing ovum (egg) and this gets fertile when a sperm fusses with it later which turns into a baby .for which after every 28 days a female body starts preparing developing a muscular cushion for the baby in the uterus for its protection and further development .now when an egg is released and doesn’t gets fertile the muscular wall automatically starts decaying (shedding) and discharging the waste through vagina in the form of blood. Since this process is a bit slow so this usually ends up within 120-170hrs.yes we bleed for 5 to 7 days continuously in a month .Amazed? Or shocked?
What did you find here worth hiding? What is there to be embarrassed of?
It is not a disease it’s just another biological process and it doesn’t only happens with humans but elephants and apes do have periods too. More like when you pee or you do shit, when you discuss your constipation and diarrhea openly. When you Indians laugh upon fart jokes along with your friend’s .This is as usual as all those things.
I don’t say I’m sick these days or it’s that time of the month I clearly I don’t hesitate to say hey I m on my periods. And I’ m proud to be a woman because I ‘m the one who could do anything, when I could bear such great pain, when I can deal with all those challenges during those days. this is what motivates me every time that I m more powerful than any guy around me it’s just that he could throw thing and I can keep things in .he can give pain and I can bear it to any extend .I m proud that only i can create the path for the survival of human existence. Then why should I be shushing.
I just want to ask you why? Why men should not know about it? Why they shouldn’t beware of the reason behind all those irritations and mood swing they make  joke of? Why they shouldn’t know that to be a mother we don’t just sacrifice those damm 9 months and our career but we go through a huge pain since our entire teenage and adulthood, through all those years when they blame us to be in efficient and weak? They should know about what we are going through.
I really believe that man should be aware of everything like that so that they start respecting women around them.
Remember all those session during your early teenage when girls had a special seminar about sanitary napkins and menstrual hygiene and what did guys do they wait ,they wait outside developing their own funny stories to laugh on .the make there own assumptions. The entire age they remain unaware of the truth and just die along with their misconceptions .and how would they get to know this? Who would tell them about that? when females don’t allow themselves to talk about this, and then we expect men to understand our pain.
Yes I do remember that chapter 9 of NCERT book in class 8th “Reproduction” for which entire class was excited but no one was interested to teach .whatever my teacher taught me was all about plants and rest all was bla bla….english that flew off my brain.
So, this bla bla and lack of awareness made this situation more difficult and uncomfortable for women.
When in this era you celebrate international women’s day and when we talk about women empowerment and equality. then why don’t we understand that sharing and talking about such topics would let men understand women in a much better way and respect them, they won’t judge her in fact would rather try to help her..
If a sperm is important for further DNA extension then ovum is equally important too….
It’s a process not a taboo…
Feel free to talk about periods don’t make it feel like a curse, it’s just another painful process that makes you stronger that makes you a complete women…
Be proud to be what you are…
Feel proud to be a woman…
